Four individuals were hospitalized following an active shooter alert on the Florida State University (FSU) campus. The alert, which prompted students to seek shelter and lock doors, was issued in the vicinity of the Student Union. local police responded to the situation, and Tallahassee memorial Hospital later confirmed that the four victims were being treated. The alert was also shared on social media by Florida Representatives byron Donalds and Maxwell Frost.

At least four people were hospitalized after an “active shooter” alert was sent out to students on the campus of Florida State University.
“An active shooter has been reported in the area of the Student Union. Police are on scene or on the way. Continue to seek shelter and await further instructions. Lock and stay away from all doors and windows and be prepared to take additional protective measures,” an FSU alert read.
Tallahassee Memorial Hospital officials confirmed to local news outlets that four victims are in the hospital.
The alert was shared by Reps. Byron Donalds (R-FL) and Maxwell Frost (D-FL).
