Letitia James in ‘world of trouble’ with new allegations: Megyn Kelly

Megyn Kelly has made predictions regarding New York Attorney General Letitia James, suggesting that James could face meaningful consequences due to new allegations against her. Kelly discussed these allegations during her podcast, stating that James is accused of falsifying records to secure favorable home loans, claiming a property in Virginia as her principal residence while serving as a prosecutor in New York. Kelly emphasized that if these claims are true, James may find herself in serious legal trouble, notably as she has positioned herself as a staunch advocate for accountability in the justice system.

Moreover, Kelly highlighted the parallels between the allegations against James and those filed against Donald Trump, who was convicted of falsifying business records in a related case. The discussions center around themes of hypocrisy, as both parties are accused of manipulating the system for personal gain. James’s past actions in pursuing Trump for similar alleged misconduct amplify the scrutiny she now faces. The article concludes with references to a letter sent by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William pulte, furthering the inquiry into James’s conduct.

Letitia James in ‘world of trouble’ with new allegations: Megyn Kelly

Megyn Kelly predicted New York Attorney General Letitia James would suffer the consequences of her own prosecution.

James is facing allegations of falsifying records to secure home loans for a Norfolk, Virginia, property that she said was her “principal residence” while she was a New York prosecutor. Doing so likely earned her a better mortgage rate from a bank than if she had applied for a loan for a secondary residence.

“This is unbelievable, and if one word of this is true, she is in a world of trouble right now,” Kelly said on her SiriusXM podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show. “She’s going to be hoisted on her own petard because she’s spent the past three years four years arguing about how no one is above the law the powerful must be treated the same as the poor that just because you’re rich and famous doesn’t give you the right to manipulate the banking system to get more favorable loans.”

Kelly pointed out the similarities between the allegations against James and the allegations the attorney general filed against President Donald Trump, who was convicted in New York on 34 counts of falsifying business records. The trial brought in court testimony, including that Trump paid hush money to multiple women in 2018 who said they had an affair with him, to demonstrate his pattern of lying on documents. This was to prove he should not have received the favorable business loans he did.

“[T]his case by Letitia James, which was the one — I was told by Trump insiders — was the one that bothered him the most all along. It’s his company. His near and dear company. And what’s being alleged in this lawsuit is that that case was pursued by an alleged fraudster herself,” Kelly said.

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche referring James’s case for review. Pulte’s allegations also included a mortgage James applied for that inaccurately recorded the number of bedrooms to seem smaller, and a case where James was listed as her father’s wife for a mortgage in 1993.

After entering office, Trump revoked James’s security clearance in a veiled retaliation for the criminal case against him. Trump has since appealed the decision.
