Viral Video: Mother Presses 6-Year-Old Daughter: ‘Are You A Boy Or Are You A Girl?’
In a viral video, a mother claimed she pressed her six-year-old daughter with questions about her gender, asking the little girl, “Are you a boy or are you a girl?”
The mother wrote as a caption, “My six-year-old daughter asks me if I think she ‘looks like a boy.’ I asked her, ‘Do you wanna look like a boy?’ Her response left me speechless.”
In the video, which is accompanied by the ethereal sound of voices singing to make it seem pleasant, the voice of the alleged mother asks the little girl, “Are you a boy or are you a girl?” The little girl, who is wearing a baseball cap backward, answers, “I don’t know. I don’t know who I am.”
The mother urges, “So you don’t know who you are?”
The girl shakes her head a little.
The mother persists, “Who do you think you are?”
The girl says haltingly, “I feel like I’m a boy, but I feel like —”
The mother jumps in, pressing, “You feel like you’re a boy? What makes you think that?”
The confused child answers, “I’m not sure, but I feel like I’m talking like a boy.”

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), the standard classification of mental disorders used by mental health professionals in the United States, according to the American Psychiatric Association, stated, “As many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.”
The Heritage Foundation noted in May 2020:
Transgender ideology is now promoted in schools, where children are taught that gender is fluid, falls along a spectrum, and is detached from bodily sex.6 In addition, activists seek to punish anyone who expresses any reservations about radical treatment plans for gender dysphoric children. These plans can include socially transitioning children as young as 4, administering puberty blocking drugs as young as 9, cross sex hormones as young as 14, and surgery as young as 18. This ideology threatens parental rights. In Ohio, a Catholic family lost custody of their daughter when they opposed treatment of gender dysphoria with cross-sex hormones.
The American College of Pediatricians wrote in 2017 in an article titled, “Gender Ideology Harms Children”:
Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “XY” and “XX” are genetic markers of male and female, respectively – not genetic markers of a disorder. The norm for human design is to be conceived either male or female. Human sexuality is binary by design with the obvious purpose being the reproduction and flourishing of our species. This principle is self-evident. The exceedingly rare disorders of sex development (DSDs), including but not limited to testicular feminization and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, are all medically identifiable deviations from the sexual binary norm, and are rightly recognized as disorders of human design. Individuals with DSDs (also referred to as “intersex”) do not constitute a third sex.
No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one. No one is born with an awareness of themselves as male or female; this awareness develops over time and, like all developmental processes, may be derailed by a child’s subjective perceptions, relationships, and adverse experiences from infancy forward. People who identify as “feeling like the opposite sex” or “somewhere in between” do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women.A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.
