According to Revolver News, several alleged co-conspirators have been released without charges, despite them being the most violent or provocative participants of the Capitol protest. The report raised questions on whether these participants are protected from indictment because they agreed to cooperate with the FBI or if they were planted government operatives.
“There must be moments when you think, if we would have known, if we could have infiltrated this group or found out what they were doing,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) expressed. “Do you have those moments?”
FBI Director Christopher Wray responded to Klobuchar by stating the FBI is making stern efforts to obtain stronger sources, more information and better analysis. A separate testimony by former Green Beret Jeremy Brown suggested the FBI has tried to infiltrate conservative groups.
Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Oversight and Reform Committee yesterday at a hearing about the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6. You can read his statement for the record at https://t.co/DwiakbNoa0.

“What you’re about to witness is an FBI personal meet with the sole intention of creating an excuse to meet with me, to recruit me to be a confidential informant,” he explained. “I say yeah, I’ve worked with JTTF in the past and he says well you might be in the future, let’s see how this goes.”
Revolver News is now requesting information on how many of the detained protesters were confidential informants for the federal government and what exactly their role was on January 6.
