A third generation zydeco musician was shot during his performance at Louisiana Mudfest. On Friday, headliner Chris Ardoin was shot as he finished his music set in Colfax, Louisiana.
Ardoin was shot in the back on his right side while on stage. Two people with guns reportedly jumped into a vehicle and attempted to leave the area when police arrested them both.
Authorities reported Ardoin was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident and according to a Facebook post from his wife, the musician has been in recovery. Two other people, including a 14-year-old, were hit in the crowd and sustained moderate injuries.
