Biden COVID adviser: face masks don’t help much from COVID-19

A top COVID adviser for Joe Biden has admitted face masks were not very effective against COVID-19 and said they only served a political purpose. In an interview on Monday, Michael Osterholm said if particles of smoke could get through a mask, so could the virus.
“Many of the face cloth coverings that people wear are not very effective in reducing any of the virus movement in or out,” he explained. “Either you’re breathing out or you’re breathing in.”
Over the past year and a half, Democrats and mainstream media fiercely attacked anyone who questioned the efficacy of masks from COVID-19. However, Osterholm called for the universal use of respirators by general population.
“We need to talk about better masking. We need to talk about N95 respirators, which would do a lot for both people who are not yet vaccinated or not previously infected,” he explained. “Protecting them as well as keeping other who might become infected having been vaccinated.”
Democrats are basing their new mask mandate on a 100-person study from India. It didn’t pass peer-review and uses vaccines that aren’t approved in America.

Meanwhile, critics say Democrats appear to reverse their stance on face masks because the latest CDC guidelines is unpopular with the mostly vaccinated Democrat voting base.
