The Boston Marathon bomber is reportedly suing the federal government over his alleged poor treatment in prison.
In the suit filed from his Colorado prison this week, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev claimed prison guards were unlawful, unreasonable and discriminatory. The now 26-year-old said his baseball cap was taken away and his showers were limited, which he alleged added to his “mental and physical decline.”
Tsarnaev was sentenced to death for the 2013 bombings that killed three people, but an appeals court overturned the ruling and gave him a life sentence instead.
He is seeking $250,000.
