‘Between 99 And 100%’: Jason Miller Says Trump Is ‘Definitely’ Running In 2024

Former White House advisor Jason Miller believes that Donald Trump will “definitely” run for president in 2024.

“I would say the likelihood is somewhere between 99 and 100%,” Miller told Cheddar News on Thursday. “I think he’s definitely running in 2024. I had a good conversation with him last night, I’m going to go see him in a couple days here. He hasn’t said the magical words to me, but if you talk to him for a few minutes it’s pretty clear that he’s running.”

“I think what we’ve seen in Afghanistan recently has really just emboldened that,” Miller continued.

Miller’s comments are the latest from a Trump ally saying that the former president will seek a return to the Oval Office. Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told a group in Dallas County, Iowa, Thursday that he thinks Trump will once again seek the Party’s nomination.

“I think he’s gonna run. I want him to run,” Jordan said.

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman echoed Jordan’s comments, tweeting that Trump will declare “sooner rather than later.”

Trump has repeatedly teased a 2024 run. He told The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens in May that his decision would make people “very, very happy” in a May interview. He also confirmed to Fox News’ Sean Hannity in June that he had made a decision about running. (RELATED: REPORT: Trump To Resume Rallies Next Month Amid Hints At 2024 Run)

Recent polling suggests that Trump would be a front-runner for the Republican nomination, but not a prohibitive favorite. He came in second to Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the Western Conservative Summit straw poll, with 74% of voters approving of DeSantis as the Republican nominee, and 71% approving of Trump. A Quinnipiac University poll conducted in August found that 60% of Americans viewed another Trump run as bad for the country, while 32% viewed another run as good.

If Trump were to win the 2024 presidential election, he would become the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms in office. Democrat Grover Cleveland was president from 1885-1889 and 1893-1897.
