Lisa Marie Presley died in Los Angeles on January 12th after she suffered a cardiac arrest. The nation was shocked by the news that Presley, at 54, had passed away.

In 1972, the couple split. Their divorce was finalized in 1973. Lisa Marie moved in with her mother in Los Angeles after their divorce. She would often visit Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, as Elvis was there. The pair would co-parent Lisa Marie for the next few years until Elvis’ death in 1977.

After 10 years of marriage, she filed for divorcement in 2016 and it became finalized in 2021.
Lisa had also experienced addiction to prescription drugs. In a foreword to a 2019 book about the opioid crisis in America called “The United States of Opioids: A Prescription for Liberating a Nation in Pain” Harry Nelson. Presley stated that she began using pain medication shortly after the births of her twins in 2008. She said It led to “a difficult path to overcome this dependence, and to put my life back together.”
