AUSTIN, Texas — Governor Abbott Defies Biden Administration’s Order
Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas is making a bold statement by refusing to remove floating barriers in the Rio Grande, directly defying the Biden administration’s order. This act of defiance has caught the attention of GOP senators who are working tirelessly to block President Biden’s plans.
“Texas will fully utilize its constitutional authority to deal with the crisis you have caused,”
Abbott wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden.
“Texas will see you in court, Mr. President.”
