ABC and NPR Just Can’t Figure Out Why Americans Aren’t Loving the Biden Economy
ABC’s This WeekMartha Raddatz, the co-moderator, aired more World News Tonight‘s Exclusive Interview With President Joe Biden. Anchor David Muir demonstrated how out-of-touch he was with the economic reality every American is facing because of Biden’s rampant behavior. inflation and incipient recession. You don’t want to be left out, however. “reporter” Asma Khalid, America’s state media NPR, claimed that the economy has improved since six months ago.
Muir asked Biden about his economy, and appeared confused about why Americans were not feeling better about their finances during the Biden/Muir interview. Muir added every positive metric that he could. “unemployment now at its lowest level in 50 years, but you’ve also seen the polls. Our latest ABC News poll shows 4 in 10 Americans say they’re worse off than when you were elected. Only 16 percent said they were better off. So why is that? Why aren’t Americans feeling this?”
Biden said incoherently that Americans don’t feel good. “it goes well beyond the economy.” The octogenarian President blamed the constant negative stories Americans see when they turn on the news: “can you think of anything when you turn on the television that makes you think, God, that makes me feel good? Almost anything. Everything is in the negative.”
Do you remember a time in history when news wasn’t always negative? We don’t remember. This is why we have the saying “no news is good news.”
“Inflation is still higher than it should be, and, you know, everything from gasoline prices to a war going on in Ukraine,” Biden proclaimed. “I mean, so I can’t think of a time when there’s been greater uncertainty, notwithstanding the fact that we created 800,000 manufacturing jobs.”
Later in the broadcast, during This Week’s “PowerHouse Roundtable” segment, NPR’s White House correspondent Asma Shahlid demonstrated how out of touch and out-of-touch she is. She claimed that she was the White House correspondent. “look[ing] at the inflation picture today, the economy is by most metrics healthier than it was six months ago.”
According to Khalid, inflation continues its rise and is a major problem for consumer finances. Once again, inflation rose In January, it was 0.5 percent. This was an increase from December’s 0.1% increase in December.
Khalid might have meant to say that inflation hasn’t risen as much in recent years to be more charitable. It is still on the rise at a blistering 6.4 percent annually. At the time Biden was elected, inflation was just 1.7 percent.
Khalid: The economy isn’t healthier.

Eastern at 9:38 p.m.DAVID MURIR: I would like to ask you about the economy. It is often mentioned that inflation has slowed. You’ve seen the polls. Unemployment is at its lowest point in 50 years. The latest ABC News poll found that 4 out 10 Americans think they are worse off now than when they were elected. Only 16% said they were more fortunate. Why is this? Why don’t Americans feel this way?
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Well, look. It extends far beyond the economy. You should think about it. You interview for the news. When you turn on the TV, what makes you feel good? It’s almost everything. All things are in the negative.
We also find out that one of these outlets has admitted that they put false information on their websites in order to increase ratings. I think things are a bit out of order and I don’t blame people. After the year, two years, of the pandemic, children out of school, mental health problems in the country have seriously increased, particularly among young people.
There are some things that people feel down about, such as unemployment. They are either in better jobs or earning more. It is still higher than what it should be. And, of course, everything from gasoline prices and the conflict in Ukraine. I don’t remember a time when there was more uncertainty. This is despite the fact we have created 800,000. While we’re more economically successful than almost any other country in the world, it’s easy to see why people are feeling down.
[…]ASMA KHALID : I believe that the inflation picture is better today than it was six years ago. So if you look at President Biden’s X-factor for the economy heading into 2024, I think it’s possible that he’s in a better place than Democrats in the midterms. And the economy didn’t factor into the midterms in the way we expected.
