Adele Finally Responds To Those Engagement/Marriage Rumors
Adele finally responded to rumors floating around about whether or not she’s engaged or married to sports agent Rich Paul after being photographed wearing a diamond ring on that finger.
The 34-year-old singer, born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, spoke to Elle magazine in a wide-ranging interview for its September issue. In the article, she opened up about her relationship with Paul, with whom she’s been friends for a while but became romantically involved in May 2021. Adele separated from her ex-husband Simon Konecki in 2019.
“I’ve never been in love like this,” the “Hello” hitmaker explained. “I’m obsessed with him. Lucky for him, I love basketball.”
Adele admitted she can see herself married again, but when pressed about whether she’s already engaged or married she played a bit more coy.
“Well,” she added, “I’m not married.”
“So…are you engaged?” the reporter repeated.
“I’m not married. I’m not married!” the singer insisted. “I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”
Later, Adele shared that she’s “not engaged. I just love high-end jewelry, boy!”
The “high-end jewelry” that started the engagement rumors can be seen in the photo below after she wore it to the February 2022 BRIT awards.
The English singer shares a 9-year-old son with Konecki. Paul has three children of his own. Adele recently purchased Sylvester Stallone’s Beverly Hills mansion, where the two have been renovating the home.
And speaking of children, Adele didn’t hold back her excitement that she wants to have children again, just not before she completes her Las Vegas residency, which was postponed in January.
“I definitely want more kids,” the “Someone Like You” hitmaker explained. “I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas. I wanna f***ing nail it.”
The pop singer recently made headlines after some tickets to her rescheduled Vegas show had reportedly skyrocketed to more than $40,000 each.
“The “Weekends with Adele” tour will run from November 18, 2022, until March 25, 2023.
