Christie believes Ukraine war closer to resolution after Wagner Mercenary Uprising.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s weakness is now evident within his own country. In an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” Christie stated that the recent uprising by the Wagner mercenary group could bring us closer to a resolution in the battle against Russia. He emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine and providing them with the necessary weapons to repel the Russian military.

Christie also highlighted the significance of this conflict as a proxy war with China. He argued that China’s funding of the war through the purchase of Russian oil poses a threat to global dominance. By standing by Ukraine and our principles, Christie believes that America will emerge stronger and more influential in the world.

Proxy War With China

Christie’s firm support for aiding Ukraine’s defense sets him apart from other Republican presidential candidates. He believes that opposing Russia in its conflict with Ukraine is crucial to Europe’s strategic interests. In contrast, former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have prioritized checking the power of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over assisting Ukraine.

Beijing has expressed support for Russia following the recent uprising, describing it as Russia’s internal affairs. China’s foreign ministry spokesperson stated that they stand behind Russia in maintaining stability and achieving development and prosperity.
