After Years Of J6 Fearmongering, Left-Wing Activists Storm Tennessee Capitol While DOJ Stays Silent
On Thursday, a mob of anti-Second Amendment activists stormed the Tennessee Capitol to demand restrictions on Americans’ right to bear arms. This followed the killing of six Christians, including three children, by a shooter who identified as transgender in Nashville.
Video footage shows the left-wing protesters shoving state troopers, taking control of the Tennessee General Assembly floor, and using a bullhorn to scream at state lawmakers.
Despite the riot in the Tennessee Capitol being considered an insurrection and an affront to democracy by left-wing standards, Democrats and the media have labeled it as a “peaceful” protest. Additionally, the Department of Justice (DOJ), which has been pursuing those who demonstrated at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has not yet commented on the event.
It remains to be seen if the Tennessee insurrectionists will face prosecution and be denied due process for their actions, similar to the treatment of those involved in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riots. Additionally, it is unknown if the FBI will label mainstream liberals as terrorists as they did to conservatives following Jan. 6.
Many have labeled the wildly disparate reactions from Democrats, the media, and the DOJ to the U.S. Capitol riots and the Tennessee insurrection as emblematic of the country’s two-tier justice system. During 2020, Black Lives Matter protesters burned American cities, causing far more damage and loss of life than the Jan. 6 riots.
Despite this, BLM protesters were praised, and some even received bail from funds raised by Vice President Kamala Harris. Recently, pro-life activist Chester Gallagher had his home raided by the FBI after he organized a peaceful pro-life demonstration outside an abortion facility. Gallagher and seven other activists are facing federal charges, a stark contrast to the number of pro-abortion vandals and terrorists who have gone unpunished for defacing and firebombing dozens of pro-life pregnancy centers and churches following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The insurrection at the Tennessee Capitol lays bare the fact that equal justice no longer exists in America. An increasing number of conservatives and Christians feel they are no longer free or safe in their own country.
