Alec Baldwin Hit With New Lawsuit From Three Former “Rust” Crew Members
Alec Baldwin, along with three other former Rust crewmen, have been sued again by the producers. They claim they didn’t follow safety guidelines.

Former crew members also claimed they experienced anxiety and symptoms from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTS) after Hutchins’ shooting death.
Ross Addiego (the dolly operator); Doran Curtin (the set costumer); and Reese Price (the key grip) are suing for punitive and compensatory damages for injuries. “including, but not limited to, hearing loss, temporary deafness, and vibrational shock,” The suit was said.
Hutchins was gunned down and killed in October 2021.
Baldwin denied pulling trigger. He was charged with involuntary Manslaughter because he fired the weapon at Hutchins.
He has pleaded not guilt.
Jacob G. Vigil was the legal counsel for three of the former crew members. “The negligent and reckless conduct of Alec Baldwin and the Rust production cannot be excused,” per Fox News.
Alec Baldwin’s lawsuit also asserts:
“These injuries were caused by Defendants’ failure to follow industry safety rules. Defendants cut corners; ignored reports of multiple, unscripted firearms discharges; and persisted, rushed and understaffed, to finish the film.”
Rust Movie Productions LLC and El Dorado Pictures are also named as defendants.
The lawsuit claims that Hutchins fell right in front Curtin.
“She watched in shock as Hutchins grabbed at her abdomen. Plaintiff Curtin put her hands on Hutchins’ stomach, trying to find the source of Hutchins’ pain and figure out what was going on. As the chaos continued, Plaintiff Curtin was ushered out of the church. Once outside, she collapsed from the effects of the blast and the shock of the shooting,” The lawsuit states that per Variety.
Plaintiffs claim that producers made a profit while Baldwin didn’t pay attention to weapons training.
Baldwin faced a minimum sentence of five years if convicted. However, his lawyers argued that the district prosecutor had wrongly charged Baldwin under a firearms laws. This law was not in effect at the time of the shooting on October 20,21.
Baldwin is now facing a maximum 18-month sentence if convicted.
Rust may have chosen a different setting for resume filming and opted for Yellowstone Film Ranch, Montana, instead of New Mexico.
