ALERT: John Fetterman Will Return to Senate on Anniversary of Khmer Rouge Takeover
Fetterman Will Resume Duties in the Senate to Advance Biden’s Radically Leftist Agenda While Commemorating the Brutal Communist Regime
What Happened: A former lacrosse player, who is a spokesperson for Senator John Fetterman (D., Pa.), announced on Wednesday that Fetterman plans to return to the U.S. Senate on April 17, 2023.
Fetterman has been receiving treatment for severe clinical depression at Walter Reed National Hospital since February 16.
What It Means: The senator, who survived a near-fatal stroke on the campaign trail in May 2022, will resume his job, supporting President Joe Biden’s very progressive agenda, on a day that represents leftist atrocities throughout history.
April 17th marks the 62nd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion, which resulted in the suffering of many innocent Cubans under the Obama administration ally, Fidel Castro. Moreover, it marks the 48th anniversary of the fall of Phnom Penh to the Khmer Rouge. The date indicates the end of the Cambodian civil war and marks the installation of a brutal communist regime that was responsible for nearly 2 million deaths, equating to roughly a quarter of the country’s population.
Context: Fetterman and his spokespersons have tainted their credibility when it comes to informing the citizens about the senator’s health status. After his stroke in May 2022, Fetterman’s campaign released a statement from his physician, who happened to be a campaign donor, stating that he had “no work limitations and could work in public office for full duty.”
The above statement would turn out to be an exaggeration at best. According to The New York Times report in February, Fetterman’s efforts to work in public office without any restrictions were hampered by “serious mental health challenges” and “unfamiliar duties that are taxing for someone still in recovery.” By returning to the campaign trail too quickly to help the Democratic Party’s electoral prospects, Fetterman might have set himself back permanently.
Trend Alert: Fetterman’s decision to return to work on a day associated with unimaginable leftist atrocities reminds us of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D., Mass.) announcement of her “free college” plan in 2019 on April 22, which happens to be the birthday of Vladimir I. Lenin, the architect of Soviet communism, and one of the most heinous monsters in history.
