America’s Most ‘Woke’ Employers: Here’s How Disney Ranked

Disney Ranks High on Forbes’ List of Best Employers for Diversity

Forbes recently released its 2023 list of “America’s Best Employers for Diversity,” and The Walt Disney Co. secured the 98th spot, surpassing big names like Nike, Bank of America, and Netflix. The list was compiled by Forbes in partnership with market research firm Statista, who surveyed 45,000 American workers from companies with at least 1,000 employees. The participants anonymously rated their companies on various criteria, including age, gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBT equality, and overall diversity.

Forbes also asked participants from “underrepresented groups” to recommend other companies that they felt matched the criteria, and each business’ diversity-related policies were also reviewed and taken into consideration. Disney’s high placement on the list is not surprising, given its recent feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over his “anti-woke” policies relating to children and education.
