Leftist students’ failed attempt to shut down Amy Coney Barrett speech.

Colleges and Universities: The Battleground of the Culture‍ Wars

Colleges ‍and universities⁢ have become the epicenter of ‌the ongoing culture wars. For decades, conservatives have been losing ground in this arena, with the majority of college professors and⁣ administrators identifying as leftists. However, there⁣ is still hope for ‍a conservative comeback.

A recent report‍ by the National Association of Scholars revealed that the overwhelming majority of college professors lean left.‌ In fact, ⁤only a⁢ mere⁤ 6% ‍of campus administrators identify as conservative, while a staggering 71% classify themselves as liberal or very liberal.

With statistics like these, it⁣ may seem like higher education has been completely surrendered ⁢to the radical ⁤left. But that’s not the case.

Recently, a⁢ group of radical leftists attempted to⁣ disrupt a speech by ⁢conservative Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett at the University ‌of Minnesota. However, their efforts were swiftly⁣ shut⁤ down by university officials and law enforcement.

About 10 protesters were removed from the⁢ event.

While ⁤this ‌may not seem like⁣ a significant victory in the face of college radicals who support Hamas and blame Israel for terrorist attacks, it is a telling moment. Not all⁤ battles against evil receive⁢ widespread attention.

Prior⁣ to Barrett’s visit, nearly 700 students signed a petition demanding that the university rescind her invitation. ‌Despite this pushback, Barrett’s speech⁢ proceeded ‍as planned.

So why‌ all the resistance? Barrett was invited to⁢ speak at ⁢the ⁢university’s law school as part of a lecture series.⁤ Previous Supreme Court justices, including ‌Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, John Roberts, and Antonin‍ Scalia, had also spoken at ⁣the ‌campus without controversy.

During ⁣her speech,⁤ Barrett discussed her time on the ⁢Supreme Court and her⁢ journey to becoming a justice. However, a group of about ⁤10 protesters‌ inside the auditorium‍ began chanting disruptive‍ slogans. They were promptly escorted out by police.

The radicals failed to shut down the event, despite ⁢their⁣ attempts to‍ make a scene. While they may have garnered some media attention, their actions may‌ be doing more⁣ harm than good. Their disruption only serves to ⁤make them look impotent⁤ to their emotionally disturbed followers.

The radical leftists‌ who dominate⁢ college campuses are a ‌confusing mix of anarchists, communists, fascists,‍ and neo-Marxist totalitarians. Their ultimate goal is‍ disruption, but they lack a clear ideology or purpose. This weakness is the ‍chink ⁢in their ‌armor.

Even some‌ Democrats are growing tired of the radicals’ antics. There are more⁤ pressing‍ issues than appeasing ⁤left-wing extremists who have no ‌clear direction or goals beyond disrupting Western ⁤norms.

While the Barrett incident⁤ may not be a pivotal moment in the culture wars, the ‍fact that it occurred ⁤on ‌a‌ college campus is cause for celebration. The University of Minnesota, known as a leftist stronghold, may⁣ be witnessing a weakening‌ of the radicals’ grip.

A Note ‍from Our Deputy Managing Editor:

What if you woke up one morning and half of the people you ‌count‍ on had just vanished ⁣overnight?

That happened⁤ to ⁢me recently. I got up, came to work ‌here at The‍ Western Journal,‍ and when I got to my office, literally half of our readers had ⁢vanished. They were just gone. We had been nuked by Facebook, and ⁤it had ‍happened almost instantly.

But⁤ it was ⁤even worse. Facebook hit⁣ us at the⁤ same‍ time 90 percent of‌ advertisers had essentially boycotted us. “Brutal” is ‍a word I’ve used a lot lately.

The fight for the truth ⁤is brutal. The fight for America’s soul ⁣is brutal. What the government is doing to ⁣Jan. ⁣6 detainees is brutal. What‌ surgeons are doing to confused children is brutal.

It’s a fight we must win. But‌ we can’t win without you.

A subscription to The Western ⁢Journal will go‌ much farther than you⁤ think. It costs less than a cup of Starbucks coffee, and for that ⁤small price you get access to ALL of our content — news, commentary, and premium‌ articles — ‍you’ll experience a radically reduced number ⁤of ads, and most importantly you will be vitally supporting the fight against ⁣leftism.

Can I count on you to⁢ subscribe today? We⁢ need your help. Benjamin Franklin ‌summed up the situation we’re all facing when he said,‌ “We must all hang⁤ together, or,⁣ most assuredly, we ‌shall all hang separately.”

We plan to hang in‍ and ‍fight. Please help us. Please subscribe today.

What impact did university officials and law enforcement shutting down the disruption of Justice Barrett’s speech have on the ‍battle against ideological extremism on campuses?

Editor:

The culture wars may⁤ have found a ‌new battleground in colleges and universities, where⁤ conservatives have long been outnumbered by left-leaning professors and administrators. However, recent ⁤events indicate that the⁢ tides may be turning. A report by ⁣the National Association of Scholars highlighted ‍the overwhelming left-leaning ‍bias among college professors, with only 6% identifying as conservative compared to a staggering⁢ 71% classifying themselves‍ as liberal or very liberal. ‌While these statistics may paint a bleak picture ⁢for conservatives, recent incidents have shown that‍ they are not⁤ alone in their fight for intellectual diversity on campuses.

One such incident took place at the University ‍of Minnesota, where a group of radical leftists attempted to disrupt a speech by conservative Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Despite their efforts, university officials and law enforcement promptly shut down ‍their disruption, removing approximately 10 protesters from the event. While this may not seem like a significant ⁣victory, it serves‌ as a telling moment that not⁣ all battles against ideological extremism receive widespread attention.

Prior to Barrett’s visit, ‍nearly 700 students had signed a petition demanding that the university rescind her invitation. However, the university stood⁢ firm, allowing the speech to proceed as planned. Barrett’s invitation was in line with previous visits⁤ by Supreme Court justices, ‌including Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, John Roberts, and the late Antonin Scalia, all of whom spoke on campus without‍ controversy. This further underscores the importance of intellectual diversity and the need for open dialogue in academic institutions.

The disruptive chanting by a small group of ⁣protesters during Barrett’s speech showcased the radical leftists’ determination to create chaos and dissent. While ⁢their actions may have gained them⁤ some media attention, it is important to recognize that their disruption only serves to make⁤ them⁢ seem impotent to their emotionally disturbed followers. Their lack⁣ of a clear ideology or purpose weakens their cause and⁢ exposes the cracks in their‍ armor.

Even within the Democratic party,⁤ there are growing concerns about the radical leftists’ tactics. This⁣ subset of extremists, which includes a mix ⁤of anarchists, communists, fascists, and neo-Marxist totalitarians, are starting⁤ to face criticism ⁤and pushback from more moderate voices. Many Democrats recognize the‍ need to address more pressing issues ⁤rather than appeasing the disruptive actions of those who have no clear direction ‍or goals beyond undermining Western norms.

While the incident involving Justice Barrett may‌ not be a definitive turning point in the culture wars, its occurrence on a traditionally leftist stronghold like‌ the University of ‌Minnesota is worth acknowledging. It may be a sign⁢ of a weakening grip ⁢by the radicals on college campuses, and a step towards fostering a more inclusive and intellectually diverse educational environment.
