A group of leftist thugs recently attempted to intimidate citizens protesting at the mayor’s residence against a migrant center in America’s largest city.
On Sunday, people gathered at Gracie Mansion in New York City to voice their opposition to the city’s plans of constructing more migrant shelters for the influx of illegal immigrants. The New York Post reported on the incident.
In recent weeks, New York City has experienced a surge in illegal immigrants, leaving city and state officials unsure of how to address the issue.
Mayor Eric Adams’ response has been the creation of 200 emergency shelters, including a tent city for 3,000 migrants on Randall’s Island in Manhattan, according to the Post.
However, many residents have voiced their objections to these plans and decided to make their voices heard by protesting at Adams’ residence.
Unfortunately, the left did not want this to happen, and a group of masked, black-clad antifa-style agitators showed up to intimidate and harass the protesters.
Fights broke out between the two groups, as captured in videos posted on social media.

The counterdemonstrators displayed their disdain for the United States by burning an American flag during the protest.

Despite the intimidation tactics, the protesters standing against the migrant policies remained steadfast and refused to be deterred by the mob.

These types of actions by leftist militants were prevalent several years ago, particularly after the election of President Donald Trump in 2016. Left-wing thugs went on a rampage during that time.

They resurfaced in 2020 when they joined forces with Black Lives Matter during the riots that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody, resulting in the destruction of cities across the nation.
This recent confrontation in New York serves as a reminder that antifa-style agitators are still active. The radical left is willing to resort to violence to achieve its political goals, and conservatives must be prepared for the possibility of physical attacks from these individuals.
With the upcoming heated presidential election in 2024, it is likely that these thugs will attempt to sow chaos leading up to Election Day. Conservatives must remain courageous and vigilant in the face of leftist intimidation.
