“Our car was purchased during the pandemic, before a vaccine had come out, so travel between New‌ York and Washington, the safest way‍ that we determined ⁣was‍ an EV, but that was prior to ⁣some of the new models coming out on the ​market that had the range available,”

Ocasio-Cortez explained during her appearance on Face the Nation. However, she⁣ did not shy ⁣away from acknowledging that she is now⁤ considering trading in her Tesla⁤ for a union-made alternative.

When Ocasio-Cortez made her ‍initial purchase in 2020, the Chevrolet Bolt was the only domestic and‍ union-made electric vehicle available. But times‌ have changed, and now the Chevrolet Bolt EUV and ‌Ford’s F-150 Lightning ​pickup have joined the market.
