AOC Triggered by Christian Super Bowl Ads

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York, raised concerns about two Super Bowl commercials funded in part by He Gets Us. She believes that these ads make fascism seem more real than it is. “benign.”

Two Super Bowl ads for Christians were shown on Sunday during Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

One ad features black-and white images of migrants fleeing persecution. However, it turns out that the story is about Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Another ad features black-and-white images showing disputes over racial injustice, pandemic lockdowns and politics with the message “Jesus loved the people we hate.”
