63-Year-Old Soccer Coach Arrested for Raping Underage Boys

A shocking incident has unfolded in Franklin, Tennessee, where a 63-year-old soccer coach has been apprehended after videos depicting the rape of underage boys were discovered on a cell phone left behind in a local restaurant.

Camilo Hurtado Campos, the accused coach, is now facing charges of Rape of a Child and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, as stated by the Franklin police in their official statement. Authorities have also indicated that additional charges are expected to be filed against Campos.

Currently, Campos is being held on a bond of $525,000, according to Police Lt. Charles Warner, as reported by NBC.

The investigation began when the restaurant staff discovered the abandoned phone and decided to examine it in order to determine its owner. To their horror, they stumbled upon numerous videos and pictures of children, prompting them to immediately contact the police.

Subsequently, the police initiated their own investigation and made a shocking discovery. The phone contained “hundreds of disturbing videos and pictures,” as stated by the authorities.

The police statement revealed that the suspect had recorded himself raping unconscious boys aged between 9 and 17 years old.

According to the police, Campos, who has resided in Franklin for two decades, would frequently visit nearby school playgrounds to approach children and recruit them for his soccer team. After gaining their trust, he would invite them to his home, where he would drug and rape them.

So far, evidence of the rapes of 10 children has been uncovered, and two local minors have been identified, as reported by The Western Journal.

The victims in the videos were in such an unconscious state that they may not even realize they are victims, according to the police. Additionally, the authorities have noted that many of the victims were Hispanic.

The police are actively trying to contact the victims and are seeking information from children or families who had any contact with Campos.

Wilmer Blanco, who runs the Friendship Soccer League, had reservations about Campos and did not feel comfortable having him around, as stated by a translator in an interview with WSMV-TV.
