Trump Campaign Criticizes Biden for Easter Sunday vs. ‘Transgender Day of Visibility
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign criticized the White House’s declaration of Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility.” President Biden honored transgender individuals while banning religious Easter egg designs. The campaign called the move “blasphemous,” highlighting the administration’s alleged assault on the Christian faith. Biden’s proclamation coincided with the Covenant School shooting anniversary.
The campaign for former President Donald Trump released a statement Saturday afternoon condemning the White House’s declaration of Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
In a Friday proclamation, President Joe Biden said that on Easter Sunday “we will honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.” The White House also banned religious themed Easter egg designs for an annual art contest.
The Trump campaign responded, calling the declaration “blasphemous.”
“It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art event, and formally proclaimed Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility,’” the statement reads. “Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith.”

In each of his first three years in the White House, Biden has issued proclamations for “Transgender Day of Visibility” to be recognized on March 31. This year, Biden called on “all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”
The White House proclamation also comes just days after the anniversary of the Covenant School shooting in Nashville, where a trans-identifying woman murdered three children and three adults at the Christian school. Biden did not issue a statement for the anniversary of the deadly shooting.
In his Friday proclamation, Biden also criticized “extremists” in Republican-led states who have passed laws protecting children from life-altering gender procedures and conservatives who have fought to remove sexually explicit books from school libraries.
“These bills attack our most basic American values: the freedom to be yourself, the freedom to make your own health care decisions, and even the right to raise your own child,” Biden wrote.

Biden’s proclamation was slammed by Christians and conservatives on social media who called for people to “speak loudly against this evil.”
“President Biden has announced that Easter Sunday is now ‘Trans Day of Visibility,’ pushing the toxic lie that one can be born in the ‘wrong body’ & it’s ‘healthcare’ to mutilate one’s body,” prominent pro-life activist Lila Rose said. “Speak out loudly against this evil, which is destroying a whole generation of kids.”
Daily Wire host Matt Walsh wrote, “I have as low an opinion of Biden as you can possibly have and yet this is so outrageously evil that I had to check to make sure it was real. It is. Our ‘catholic’ president has chosen the highest holiday on the Christian calendar to celebrate transgenderism. This man is a demon.”
