‘Bad Faith’: Treasury Department Obstructing Investigation Into Biden Family Finances, House Republican Says
James Comer, Republican of Kentucky, House Oversight Committee, accused the Biden administration “operating in bad faith” He also obstructed his committee’s investigation into finances of the Biden family.
Comer wrote Monday to the Treasury Department that they have been slow to respond to requests from the committee for Suspicious Activity Reports. These reports concern deals President Joe Biden’s family has made with foreign businessmen.
“During the Committee’s dialogue with Treasury, you have made several excuses for Treasury’s delay regarding this production,” Comer wrote. “Given the amount of time that has passed since our initial request and Treasury’s inability to provide a projected timeframe when the [suspicious activity reports] will be produced, the Committee believes Treasury may be delaying its production to hinder our investigation and operating in bad faith.”
The Treasury Department has blocked our investigation into business schemes by the Biden family.
We are done making excuses.
