American Dream’s faith shattered by Biden: Survey

Belief in the⁤ American Dream Has Collapsed Under ‌Biden: Poll

A new poll conducted by The Wall Street⁢ Journal⁢ and NORC reveals that ⁢a majority of U.S. voters no longer believe in the ‌attainability of the “American dream.” Only about 36 percent of those surveyed believe that hard work will lead to success, a stark‌ contrast to the 68 percent who held this belief in a previous survey.

The poll ‌also found that two-thirds of voters view the economy as poor, with rising inflation⁤ and prices contributing to this sentiment. ⁢Additionally, half of respondents feel that the quality of life in the U.S. has declined over the past 50 ‍years.

Interestingly, the idea of the American dream appears to be more unattainable for women and younger respondents. A smaller percentage of women and those under 50 believe that hard work ‌guarantees success compared to their male and older⁣ counterparts.

Furthermore, the poll indicates that only 35 percent of ⁣respondents view the economy ⁤as being in good condition.

Higher inflation ‌rates have forced Americans to cut back on non-essential spending, and price‍ increases have become the biggest financial concern for 82⁤ percent⁤ of Americans. The cost of celebrating Thanksgiving this year reached an all-time high, with relevant food prices increasing by approximately 26 percent since President Joe Biden took office.

The poll also reveals that only 14 percent of voters believe‍ the economy has improved under Biden, while 70 percent ‌believe it has ‌suffered under his policies.

The Journal/NORC poll was conducted with 1,163 registered voters from Oct. 19‌ to Oct. 24, with a margin of error of plus ‍or minus 4 percentage points.

The White House has not yet⁢ responded to a request for comment.

‍ Belief in the American Dream Has Collapsed Under Biden: Poll

A recent poll conducted by The Wall Street‍ Journal and NORC has ⁤shed light on the ⁢shifting beliefs of⁢ American⁤ voters regarding the attainability of the “American dream.” The findings‌ reveal a ⁤significant ‌decline in the number of‌ individuals who still hold the belief that hard work leads to ‍success,‍ signaling a collapse in faith in the American Dream under the Biden administration. Only 36 ⁤percent of those surveyed expressed confidence in the link between ⁢hard work and success, a stark contrast to the⁢ 68 percent who held this belief in a previous survey.

The poll⁤ also revealed that a majority of voters perceive the state of the economy as poor, with rising inflation and prices as major contributing factors. Two-thirds of respondents⁤ shared a negative⁢ view of the ‌economy, reflecting a⁣ growing sentiment of discontent with its current state.‍ Furthermore, half of ‍the participants expressed that the quality of life in the United States has declined over the past 50 years, indicating a‌ loss of ‍faith in the ideals that‌ once defined the American Dream.

Interestingly, the research found that the idea of the American Dream appears⁢ to ‌be even more unattainable ⁢for‍ women and younger respondents. Women and individuals under the age of 50 demonstrated lower levels of belief in the guaranteed success of hard work, comparatively to their⁤ male⁣ and older ⁢counterparts. This disparity suggests⁤ that⁢ certain segments of the population may feel ‌marginalized or excluded from the ⁢opportunities that were once promised by the American Dream.

Additionally, the poll highlighted that only 35 percent of respondents view the current state of the economy as good. This‌ reinforces the widespread dissatisfaction among the American public regarding the economic conditions under the Biden administration.

It is worth noting that President Biden has put‌ forth considerable efforts to address several key issues impacting Americans’‍ lives, as‌ highlighted by a recent tweet from The White⁢ House. The tweet emphasizes accomplishments such as the creation of 14 million new jobs,‌ student debt relief for millions of borrowers, ⁣significant gun violence prevention legislation, and the reduction of prescription drug, healthcare, and⁢ energy costs. However, despite ⁣these actions, the poll ‌indicates a fundamental collapse in belief in the American Dream,⁤ suggesting that the impact of these policies on the public’s perception is still limited.

In conclusion, the poll conducted by The Wall Street Journal and NORC reveals a stark decline in belief‌ in the ⁣American Dream among ⁤U.S. voters under the Biden⁤ administration. The majority of participants no longer view hard work⁣ as the guaranteed ‍path to success. Moreover, negative perceptions of the economy and a decline in the quality of life over the past 50 years further contribute to the erosion of belief in the American Dream. These findings raise important questions regarding the direction of the country and the⁤ potential need for policy changes to ‌restore faith in the attainability of the American Dream for all.
