Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh debate aliens.
Daily Wire Hosts Debate Existence of Extraterrestrial Beings and UFOs
Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh recently engaged in a lively debate over the existence of extraterrestrial beings and unidentified flying objects (UFOs). This discussion was sparked by the U.S. Congress holding its first public hearing on reported military encounters with alleged non-human crafts since the 1960s.
In late July, the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs conducted a highly anticipated hearing on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs). The hearing featured testimonies from two former U.S. Navy pilots, a decorated military veteran, and an intelligence official-turned-whistleblower.
But whether the truth about aliens and UFOs will ever come to light remains uncertain. Shapiro and Walsh approach the topic by applying facts and logic, each with their own unique perspectives.
Shapiro’s Skepticism
During his show, Shapiro expressed his skepticism, stating, “There are no aliens on planet Earth, other than perhaps Bernie Sanders. There may be aliens in the universe, but they haven’t found us yet.” He drew a parallel to the Bigfoot debate, arguing that in today’s society, where everyone has smartphones and social media, credible evidence of Bigfoot would be widespread if so many people had truly encountered it.
Walsh’s Counterargument
Walsh, on the other hand, disagreed with Shapiro and aimed to challenge his preconceived biases. He argued that Shapiro’s predetermined response diminishes his credibility on the subject. Walsh emphasized the importance of examining the evidence objectively before forming conclusions.
The Department of Defense released a statement from its All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which is responsible for investigating UFOs. The statement emphasized that no verifiable information has been found to substantiate claims of extraterrestrial materials or reverse-engineering programs. AARO Director Sean Kirkpatrick even found the hearing insulting to his team.
However, during sworn testimony before Congress, witness and whistleblower David Grusch, an Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, claimed to know the exact locations where the U.S. government covertly keeps unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs). While limited in what he could disclose publicly, Grusch stated that he has provided these locations to an inspector general and some congressional intelligence panels.
Walsh pointed out that UFO photos and video footage dating back to the 1950s have yet to be debunked. Shapiro, however, remained unconvinced, citing the need for evidence that surpasses mere shadowy images defying the laws of physics.
My friend @MattWalshBlog thinks he destroyed me with “facts and logic” over aliens and UFOs…but here’s why he’s wrong.
