The White House is planning to send even more U.S. taxpayer money to Guatemala instead of helping to address the border crisis on its home soil.
While speaking during a virtual meeting on Tuesday, the Biden administration announced plans to give an additional $310 million to Guatemala to create a”task force” to manage mass migration into the U.S. It appears $255 million of those funds will go toward unspecified “humanitarian relief,” while another $55 million will provide food to the local population.
This comes as the White House attempts to address the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle region.
1,000 illegal immigrants a day are crossing the border illegally without being pursued.
20,000 migrant kids are in US custody.
Fentanyl seizures are up 233%.
But Joe Biden still refuses to visit the border.

Biden’s plan has already received backlash from Republicans who said that money would be better spent finishing border wall construction and helping Americans instead of being sent abroad.
GOP lawmakers have also pointed out how both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have yet to actually visit the southern border to witness the influx of immigrants for themselves.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials last month, more than 170,000 illegal migrants were taken into federal custody.
El Paso CBP officers processing arriving freight trains from Mexico have seen an uptick in dangerous illegal entry attempts by noncitizens using the railroad system to enter the country undetected.
