According to the White House on Tuesday, the U.S. will send the Eastern ⁣European nation another $300 million worth of much-needed military equipment.

The last‌ aid package was sent to Ukraine a ‍little over two months ago.

The aid package includes:

These items will be sourced from U.S. stockpiles, as confirmed by senior defense officials at the Pentagon.

Meanwhile,‍ President ⁣Joe Biden still has congressional authority to send Ukraine another $4.4 billion worth of military aid from U.S. stocks. However, Congress has not approved funds to replace any weapons sent without ‍the passage ⁢of a $95 billion‌ supplemental⁤ spending bill, which includes roughly $60 billion for Ukraine.

“In this case, we are not digging the hole deeper – ⁢we’re⁣ staying even – while recognizing that Ukraine is‍ in a very ⁢tough spot this moment,” one official said. “This is not necessarily an easy call, but you’ve got‌ a situation where we are⁢ short on funding – they are short on ammunition.”

“We have⁣ an opportunity‌ here to do something, but it doesn’t change the fact that we still have a hard problem and we need to – ⁣have to – act,” the official added.

Additionally, the Ukrainian ‌military claims that it⁣ has been struggling without receiving consistent aid from the Biden administration the past two months.

“Artillery resolves the main problems⁢ – they can ‍provide cover for the our infantry in battlefield because it is very precise‍ and we can destroy enemy infantry ⁣some vehicles like ⁢tanks,” A Ukrainian commander told the New York Post. “It saves the lives⁣ of our soldiers.”

Officials also stated that they ⁤are “confident” that enough votes in the House will come through⁢ to⁤ secure even more funding for Ukraine. However, Republican officials, led by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), have ‍continued to fight against the bill, citing an emphasis⁣ to first‌ fix the crisis at the Southern border.

What ⁢is the status of President Joe Biden’s authority to send additional‍ military aid to Ukraine?

The United States has announced‌ that⁤ it will be providing another aid package to Ukraine. The White House confirmed on Tuesday that‍ the Eastern European‌ nation will be receiving $300 million worth of much-needed ⁤military equipment.

This new aid package comes just a little over two months after the last one was sent to Ukraine. The items included in the⁣ package are anti-aircraft missiles, ammunition, artillery rounds, and some anti-armor systems. ‌These items will be sourced from U.S. stockpiles, according ‍to senior defense officials at the Pentagon.

However, it is important to note ⁢that President⁣ Joe‌ Biden still has congressional authority to send Ukraine an additional $4.4 billion worth‍ of military⁢ aid from U.S. ⁣stocks. The approval of ‌funds to⁢ replace any weapons sent ‍depends on the passage of a $95 billion supplemental ⁢spending⁤ bill, which includes roughly $60 billion for Ukraine. The Ukrainian military has expressed its struggle without consistent aid from the Biden administration over the ⁤past two months.‌ A Ukrainian commander‌ explained, “Artillery resolves the‌ main problems – they can provide ‍cover for our infantry in the battlefield because it ⁣is very precise, and we ⁣can destroy enemy infantry and some vehicles‍ like tanks. This new aid package ‍will be crucial in supporting Ukraine in its ⁢defense efforts against potential threats. It highlights the ongoing commitment of the United States⁢ to stand with its allies and ‌ensure ⁤their⁣ security in the face of⁤ adversity.
