President Biden and Vice President Harris Raise Over $72 Million for Reelection Campaign
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with the Democratic Party, have garnered tremendous support since announcing their reelection campaign in April. In just 67 days, they have raised an impressive $72 million, surpassing the fundraising totals of all GOP candidates, including former President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis.
The Biden-Harris campaign proudly announced that they now have $77 million in cash on hand, which will be crucial in their upcoming battle against the 2024 Republican nominee.
Key Takeaways from FBI Director Wray’s Testimony
With more than 394,000 donors and over 670,000 contributions, the Biden campaign’s joint fundraising agreement with the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties has proven to be highly successful. Remarkably, 97% of all donations were less than $200, highlighting the grassroots support behind the campaign. The average grassroots contribution was $39.
It is worth noting that 30% of the campaign’s donor base consists of new donors since the 2020 campaign. Additionally, Biden-Harris 2024 boasts the largest email list for a Democratic presidential candidate, with nearly 25 million subscribers.
The campaign’s effective use of online fundraising tools and strategic moments has been instrumental in driving grassroots action. The “Meet the Bidens” fundraising contest, for instance, raised close to $2 million, making it the most successful contest since 2020. Furthermore, the campaign has hosted 38 fundraisers since its launch through the end of the second quarter.
It is worth mentioning that President Biden raised over $1 billion for his 2020 campaign, showcasing his ability to mobilize support and secure the necessary resources for a successful campaign.
