Biden biographer hints at potential 2024 race reversal: ‘Not entirely unexpected’
Is President Biden Considering Not Seeking a Second Term?
As millions of voters brace themselves for a potential replay of the 2024 election, one insider with access to President Joe Biden has hinted that he may not seek a second term.
Biden officially announced his intention to run for another four years in April, after months of speculation.
However, concerns about his age and mental acuity have been raised by people on both sides of the political spectrum. Additionally, his radicalism and mismanagement of crises have made him a liability to the future of the country.
On one hand, Biden dropping out would be a relief. On the other hand, he doesn’t have a strong record to run on, which could lead to a reckoning at the polls next fall.
Furthermore, the prospect of a Kamala Harris administration is seen as potentially damaging to the country.
Conservatives, despite their reservations, may actually hope to see Biden on the ticket in 2024 for a better chance at victory.
According to his biographer, it wouldn’t be surprising if the president chose not to seek re-election after his term is up.
Author Franklin Foer’s Insights
During a conversation with NBC News’ Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press,” author Franklin Foer was asked about the possibility of Biden not seeking a second term.
Foer, a reporter for The Atlantic, responded, “It would be a surprise to me, but it wouldn’t be a total surprise to me.”
When pressed further, Foer explained that Biden often talks about “fate” when discussing his life and future plans. Foer believes that Biden’s religious beliefs play a role in his decision-making process.
If Biden does decide not to run again, potential Democratic Party contenders like Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom would likely carry forward the left’s agenda.
However, it’s hard to imagine any of them doing a worse job than Biden if the GOP fails to regain the White House next year.
