Joe Biden finally broke his silence on the Senate impeachment trial.

“I think the Senate has a very important job to complete,” Biden stated. “My guess is, some minds may be changed, but I don’t know.”

Critics were quick pounce on Biden’s remarks for speculating about the outcome of the trial after he said he would be focused on the pandemic.

Reporters confronted press secretary Jen Psaki on the remarks, grilling her on whether Biden was making political calculations based on the arguments so far.

“You know, he was not intending to give a projection or a prediction, but was just giving a very human and emotional response to what many people did, many people felt, I should say, when they watched the video,” Psaki stated.

Until now, Joe Biden has avoided speaking about the Senate trial.
