Biden Cheat Sheet Shows He Knew What Topic Reporter Would Ask Him About
President Biden Used Cheat Sheet to Prepare for Press Conference
During a joint press conference with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, President Joe Biden used a cheat sheet to call on reporters and prepare for their questions. The notecard held by Biden contained the name of the reporter and the topic they were going to ask him about. The first question was from Los Angeles Times reporter Courtney Subramanian, who asked about Biden’s domestic priorities and how they align with alliance-based foreign policy. Although the question on the cheat sheet and the one asked were not identical, they were on the same topic. This is not the first time Biden has used cheat sheets during public events, which has led to criticism.
Biden’s Previous Cheat Sheet
In 2022, Biden used a cheat card during a press conference to prepare for a “tough Putin” question. The notecard instructed him on how to answer the question and clarify his stance on regime change. The White House had to issue a statement to clarify Biden’s remarks about Putin, which were seen as advocating for regime change. The cheat sheet also contained an answer to a question about NATO unity, which Biden read verbatim. The incident has led to criticism of Biden’s preparedness and ability to handle tough questions.
