President Joe Biden disagrees with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s comments in support of abortion up until birth, according to his campaign.

When asked whether Biden agrees with Kennedy’s stance, a campaign spokeswoman told Fox News Digital that the president does not agree with full-term abortion.

“No, the president doesn’t support full-term abortions, as he’s made clear many times,” Lauren Hitt, a senior spokeswoman for the Biden campaign, said. “He thinks Roe got it right.”

Kennedy drew the ire of conservative politicians and influencers last Wednesday when he told Sage Steele that while he personally disagrees with it, he believes a woman should be allowed to get an abortion “even if it’s full-term.”

While voters are divided over the issue of abortion, polls show the vast majority do not believe abortion up until birth should be legal. A 2022 Pew Research Center poll found that just 19% of voters support abortion with no restrictions, and a 2023 Marist poll found that 22% support abortion “at any time during pregnancy.”

The Washington Examiner reached out to the White House, the Biden campaign, and the Kennedy campaign for comment.
