Biden disses Canadian hockey team during speech to Parliament
President Joe Biden poked fun at a Canadian hockey team during his address to the Canadian Parliament on Friday. He said although he loves Canadian hockey in general, he is not a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Except for the Leafs, I like your [ hockey ] teams! Biden spoke to a mix of cheers and jeers.

Jill Biden, the first woman, was raised in a Philadelphia district and has been vocal in her support for hometown groups. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune in 2010, Joe Biden also stated his support for his girlfriend’s home, saying Philadelphia supporters are the” most in fans in the world.”
The speech was given during a trip to Canada, which led to an understanding to prevent immigrants from entering the country from Canada in the wake of an increase in multiculturalism.
Additionally, Biden erred in his speech and accidentally referred to Canada as” China ,” which confused the House of Commons.

Biden said before correcting himself,” Quite right, I applaud China for stepping up.” Pardon me, but I salute Canada. You already know my thoughts on China. I didn’t discuss that just yet.
Since taking office more than two years ago, Biden had never taken a trip to Canada. The visit included a speech to Parliament and intergovernmental meetings with French Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
