Governor slams Biden for neglecting duties, shifts focus to southern border
EAGLE PASS, TX — Montana Governor Greg Gianforte Slams President Biden’s Border Policies
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte is not holding back in his criticism of President Joe Biden’s handling of the border crisis. According to Gianforte, Biden has failed to fulfill his duties as president, leaving Texas and the entire country to deal with the dire consequences.
Gianforte, who hails from one of the northernmost states in the country, emphasizes that the distance from the southern border is no longer a factor. Having personally visited the border four times, he has witnessed firsthand the influx of illegal immigrants and drugs from Mexico, which has had a significant impact on Montana.
“We’ve been able to shut down Montana Meth, but now we have Mexican Meth in Montana along with the fentanyl,” Gianforte told The Daily Wire during a tour of the border with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and twelve other governors. “It’s breaking up families, it’s increasing violent crime, and we need to secure our border and put an end to it.”
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte Calls Out President Biden’s Inaction
Gianforte doesn’t hold back in lambasting President Biden for his failure to address the border crisis. He firmly believes that the president has the necessary tools to restore order immediately, without the need for new legislation in Congress. Despite a bipartisan immigration compromise bill facing defeat, Gianforte asserts that Biden can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy, continue building the wall, and enforce existing laws.
“Joe Biden doesn’t need Congress, he’s telling people he does but he doesn’t,” Gianforte added. “He has the ability right now to make the changes that are necessary to help secure the border.”
With over 10 million illegal immigrants crossing the border since Biden took office, Republican governors across the country are expressing support for Texas Governor Abbott’s proactive approach to securing the border. They argue that every state is now a border state, and it is unfair for Texas to bear the sole responsibility for a crisis that the Biden administration has neglected.
“Governor Abbott has been stepping up where the federal government is dropping their duty, so states are coming together, working together, to help do the job of the federal government until they decide to do it,” Gianforte said.

Gianforte also commends Governor Abbott’s success in significantly reducing the number of border crossings in the Eagle Pass area. He believes that the actions taken in Texas can serve as an example for effectively addressing the border crisis.
“They have virtually shut down crossings here in Eagle Pass,” Gianforte said after visiting a border detention center that was recently overwhelmed with thousands of migrants. “In the last couple of weeks, since they’ve taken the actions here to secure the border, they’ve had single-digit crossings each day.”
Despite a request from the Biden administration, Texas authorities have refused to hand over control of the park to Border Patrol. Instead, the Texas National Guard and Department of Public Safety have maintained control and even reinforced existing border barriers with additional razor wire.
What specific actions does Gianforte call for in order to address the border crisis and protect the American people
Doesn’t,” said Gianforte during an interview with Fox News. “He has the executive authority to secure the border. He can enforce existing laws, he can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy, he can continue to build the wall.”
Gianforte further criticizes Biden for his administration’s lax immigration policies, which he believes have only encouraged more individuals to attempt illegal entry into the United States. He asserts that the lack of consequences for those crossing the border illegally sends the wrong message and undermines the efforts of law enforcement agencies working to maintain border security.
The Impact on Eagle Pass, TX and the Entire Country
Eagle Pass, TX, a small border town in southwest Texas, has felt the repercussions of the border crisis firsthand. The influx of illegal immigrants crossing the Rio Grande River has overwhelmed the resources of local border patrol agents, straining their ability to effectively deal with the situation. Gianforte expresses concern about the safety and security of not only the residents of Eagle Pass but also the entire country.
“The cartels are having a field day,” Gianforte said, “and people are paying with their safety, their lives, and their money. They’re paying with their tax dollars.”
In addition to the increased prevalence of drugs, Gianforte highlights the rise in human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. He cites the dangerous journey that many migrants undertake, with women and children often falling victim to violence and abuse along the way.
Gianforte’s Call for Action
Gianforte believes that the Biden administration must take swift action to address the border crisis and protect the American people. He emphasizes the importance of securing the border, enforcing immigration laws, and holding individuals accountable for their actions. He also calls for increased collaboration and support for border states, such as Texas and Montana, who are on the front lines of this crisis.
As the debate over the border crisis continues, Gianforte’s outspoken criticism of President Biden’s border policies serves as a reminder of the urgency and importance of finding effective solutions. The consequences of inaction, as highlighted by Gianforte, are far-reaching and affect not only the border states but the entire country. It remains to be seen whether the Biden administration will heed these calls for action or continue to face criticism for its handling of the border crisis.
