While the Israeli-Palestinian conflict rages on and Hamas terrorists are reportedly holding both Americans and Israelis hostage, President Joe Biden faced heavy criticism for his decision to host a barbecue at the White House on Sunday.
“While Hamas holds Americans hostage, Joe Biden is enjoying a picnic with a live band,” Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley said on X, formerly known as Twitter. He also attached a screen shot of a White House Pool report.
Hawley was also joined by other conservative officials in denouncing the White House for the event on social media.
One reporter could hear a “live band” in the White House, according to the pool report, which was sent over email shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday.
“In the late afternoon and early evening, a live band could be heard coming from the area near the Rose Garden. Your pooler asked why a band was playing. From the White House: The President and First Lady are hosting a BBQ for White House Executive Residence Staff and their families,” the pool reporter said.
The BBQ event comes after the Israeli government formally declared war on Hamas on Sunday, marking the first time the nation had done so since the Yom Kippur War in 1973.
Reports indicate that the Islamic terrorist group has kidnapped several people during the strikes, including innocent women and children.
Amidst the escalating turmoil, U.S. officials are currently working to determine the number of American citizens who have been killed or taken as hostages.

The Controversy Surrounding President Biden’s White House BBQ Amidst the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
In the midst of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reports of Americans and Israelis being held hostage by Hamas terrorists, President Joe Biden has faced heavy criticism for his decision to host a barbecue at the White House on Sunday.
The event drew criticism from both Republicans and conservatives who deemed it inappropriate given the gravity of the situation in the Middle East. Missouri Senator Josh Hawley took to Twitter to express his disapproval, stating, “While Hamas holds Americans hostage, Joe Biden is enjoying a picnic with a live band.” He also attached a screenshot of a White House Pool report.
Hawley was not alone in denouncing the White House for hosting the barbecue. Other conservative officials joined in, expressing their disappointment on social media. The criticism gained traction on platforms like Twitter, with individuals sharing their discontent with Biden’s choice to host such an event while tensions continued to escalate in the Middle East.
The controversy surrounding the White House barbecue intensified with the circulation of a tweet by Byron Donalds, which gained significant attention. Donalds made a scathing remark about President Biden, highlighting the ongoing conflict and the loss of American lives. He stated, “Israel is under attack, Americans are being held hostage by Islamic-Nazi murderers, the Middle East is unraveling, and JOE BIDEN hosted a BBQ at the White House.” The tweet further criticized Biden for his handling of the situation in Afghanistan, referencing the decision to leave Americans behind and the lack of respect shown to fallen soldiers.
Despite the criticism, the White House remained firm on its decision to host the barbecue. In response to queries about the event, a pool reporter noted that a live band could be heard coming from the area near the Rose Garden. The White House clarified that the President and First Lady were hosting the barbecue for White House Executive Residence Staff and their families.
This controversy comes at a time when the Israeli government has formally declared war on Hamas, marking the first such declaration since the Yom Kippur War in 1973. With tensions escalating and lives at stake, the decision to host a barbecue at the White House has drawn even greater scrutiny and criticism.
While it is common for leaders to engage in social events to boost morale and demonstrate leadership during challenging times, the optics of hosting a barbecue amidst a conflict where lives are at stake can be perceived as insensitive. Critics argue that the President should prioritize addressing the crisis and showing support for American and Israeli citizens affected by the conflict.
In conclusion, President Biden’s decision to host a barbecue at the White House amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has sparked controversy and widespread criticism. The event has been deemed inappropriate and insensitive, given the gravity of
