President Biden’s Losing Streak Continues: USWNT’s Early Exit from Women’s World Cup
Over the past couple of years, one unfortunate trend has emerged during President Joe Biden’s administration: a series of losses. Americans are feeling the impact of ”Bidenomics” every time they visit a gas station or grocery store. The country itself is losing respect and its status as a world leader among international powers. Even Biden’s support for a 2024 re-election bid is dwindling with each new poll. However, the most glaring example of this losing streak came when the heavily favored U.S. women’s national soccer team was eliminated early in the round of 16 at the Women’s World Cup.
This embarrassing loss to Sweden perfectly encapsulates everything that is wrong with the country under Biden’s leadership. Many Americans are so consumed by their own leftist ideologies that they are oblivious to the progress made by the rest of the world. The defeat was further magnified by vocal leftist Megan Rapinoe missing a penalty kick.

Given the circumstances, it would have been wise for Biden to simply congratulate the team on their effort and express optimism for the future. However, he chose to shower the losing team with effusive praise, attempting to speak for all Americans. This move backfired on a public stage almost as big as the one the USWNT just lost on:

This team is something special and I’m looking forward to seeing how you continue to inspire Americans with your grit and determination – on and off the field.” It’s almost as if he couldn’t resist adding that “on and off the field” line, clearly alluding to the team’s left-leaning tendencies.
While it’s true that the USWNT has been open about their leftist ideologies, their dominance in the sport has somewhat offset the controversy. However, their arrogance and belief that they would never lose again have come back to haunt them. Upsets happen, and when they do, those you’ve stepped on to reach the top will seek their revenge. The USWNT’s actions have alienated many Americans, and having the President provide a platform for their detractors only adds insult to injury.
