Government website directed children to LGBT activist-staffed chat service.
Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin Removes LGBT Youth Resources from State Website
The office of Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently made a quiet move to remove LGBT youth resources from the state’s public health department website. These resources included a link to an LGBT chat space for minors, according to the Daily Wire.
The removed resources featured a list of links to external websites such as “Queer Kid Stuff” and “QChat,” an LGBT chat service specifically designed for minors aged 13-19, as stated on their website. QChat facilitates conversations between LGBT youth and staff members from national LGBT organizations.
The Virginia Department of Health removed the list of external website links on May 31, following an inquiry from the Daily Wire.
The QChat website offers upcoming chats on various topics like “Full Automated Luxury Queer Space Communism,” “Queerness and Race in comics,” and “Fitness is gay!” It also provides a quick exit function for users.
Q Chat Space is a private, online LGBT chat site. It mixes adults and children and is open to those ages 13-19.
It is specifically designed to be hidden from parents. Here’s the “quick escape” button kids can use to hide the page. You can also sign up for “discreet” messages. pic.twitter.com/PMcvbHgvIA

According to Youngkin’s press secretary Macaulay Porter, “The governor supports providing resources that are age appropriate; however, the government should not facilitate anonymous conversations between adults and children without a parent’s approval. Sexualizing children against a parent’s wishes doesn’t belong on a taxpayer-supported website,” as stated in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Queer Kid Stuff describes itself as a social justice website for kids, dedicated to liberating all children from white supremacist systems. The website’s first episode of the web miniseries that launched the platform was titled “What Does Gay Mean?”
The website states, “You would be surprised by the number of young children who might not know the answer to that question.”
Other states, such as Arizona, have also directed children as young as 10 years old to the Queer Kid Stuff website.
