Biden addresses age critics, targets Trump in Labor Day speech.
President Biden Touts Accomplishments and Addresses Critics
In a spirited address to union workers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Labor Day, President Joe Biden highlighted his achievements and pushed back against critics who question his ability to seek a second term due to his age.
President Biden kicked off his remarks with a lighthearted joke, emphasizing that wisdom comes with age. He assured the audience that he has the experience and determination to continue leading the country with their support.
The president’s comments were likely in response to a recent Wall Street Journal poll that suggested a majority of voters believe he is too old to run for president again.
