Biden Says US Doesn’t Seek Conflict With Iran But Prepared to ‘Act Forcefully’

After authorizing a strike against Iranian-affiliated investments in Syria in retaliation for an Iranian drone incident, President Joe Biden stated on Friday that while the United States does not find conflict with Iran, it is ready to use force to protect American lives.

Biden expressed his condolences to the family of the American company who was killed in an Egyptian drone attack on a partnership base in Syria on March 23 during an Ottawa press conference with French Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Biden said,” My brain and deepest condolences go out to the American life we lost, and we wish those who are wounded a quick recovery.”

One American citizen was killed and several others were injured when an unmanned aerial vehicle was used by an Iranian-backed violent class to attack a maintenance service in northeast Syria, according to the Pentagon. Three injured service members were biologically evacuated to alliance health facilities in Iraq, while two were treated on-site.

Biden issued an order for several strikes against Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps ( IRGC ) facilities in eastern Syria in retaliation for the drone attack.

According to Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin,” We will take all necessary steps to protect our people and will always react at a time and location of our selecting.” ” No class will attack our forces without consequence.”

The U.S. hit left 19 men dead, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is based in Britain.

” Feel Ready for Us to Use Force.”

Biden warned against activities targeting Americans in the area while speaking at a news conference in Canada. He claimed that the strikes in Syria targeted those accountable for attacking American force.

Make no mistake: The United States does not— and I emphasize — seek conflict with Iran. Instead, be ready for us to use force to defend our people, the president admonished.

The leader continued,” That’s exactly what happened last night. And we’re going to keep up our efforts to defeat ISIS by working with Canada and some to members to counteract terrorist threats in the area.

Biden’s very military action since taking office was the U.S. airstrike.

Pentagon spokesman Brig The operation, according to Gen. Patrick Ryder, was meant to” take a very clear meaning that we will have the safety of our officers seriously and may react quickly and decisively if they are threatened.”

According to Ryder, the attacks were” proportionate and deliberate steps intended to reduce the risk of escalation to avoid fatalities.”

Ryder echoed Biden’s statement,” We do not find fight with Iran.” However, the strikes we carried out last night were meant to make it abundantly clear that we take our personnel’s safety certainly and that, in the event of a threat, we will act swiftly and decisively.

Groups associated with Iran officially launched another round of missiles targeting American assets after Friday’s attack by U.S. forces.

At the Green Village in northeast Syria, where British troops are stationed, numerous robots were reportedly launched, according to U.S. leaders. Officials claim that no one was hurt during those attacks.

To help Syrian Kurdish forces stop the ISIS evil group from resurging, the United States has about 900 soldiers in eastern Syria.

Since Biden took office, Iranian proxies have used drones and missiles to attack American forces in Iraq and Syria almost 80 years, according to CENTCOM chief Gen. Erik Kurilla.

Reactions

The way Biden handled the Iranian drone attack was criticized by Democratic politicians.

Sen. Lindsey Graham( R-S. C.) referred to the response as” weak” in a tweet on Friday, saying that Biden and his national security team” are letting America down.”

I worry that General Milley and Secretary of Defense Austin won’t be able to deliver the punishment America requires to stay secure. Graham argued that President Biden is ultimately to blame for the defense and international legislation crises we are currently facing.

” President Biden owes it to those Americans fighting extreme Islam to retaliate vehemently against any Egyptian proxies’ attacks on them and their situation.” Graham continued,” Clearly, the earlier attack’s feeble, unsure result did not work.

When attacked,” America has only one path around; respond quickly and forcefully with enormous, punishing force designed to make enemies afraid of engaging with the United States.” The best defense against future attacks is to be tough, he continued.

Tom Cotton, Sen.( R-Ark ). argued that Biden’s cuts were premature and insufficient.

Cotton tweeted,” Unjustifiable that American existence may be lost before Joe Biden acts.”

” This tragedy could have been avoided if he had retaliated in pressure to lots of earlier Egyptian attacks.” Austin needs to clarify why he isn’t exerting more pressure on Iran.
