Biden State Department Funding Drag Queen Performances in Ecuador to Promote Diversity
The State Department has awarded a $20,600 grant to a cultural center in Ecuador that will “promote diversity” in part through the production of drag queen performances.
The grant doesn’t simply provide taxpayer funds to the center that just happens to host drag performances, it specifically states the intent is to “promote diversity and inclusion.”
And such diversity will be promoted through the hosting of “3 workshops,” “12 drag theater performances,” and a “2-minute documentary.”
The grant has been awarded to the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN), a non-profit organization supported by the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Ecuador.

State Department Funding Drag Queen Shows
The mission statement of the State Department reads: “To protect and promote U.S. security, prosperity, and democratic values and shape an international environment in which all Americans can thrive.”
How this grant achieves any of those stated goals is beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

The CEN has been awarded over $650,000 in grants since 2009, according to the USASpending.gov website.
One such grant in 2021 provided the cultural center nearly $20,000 to purchase laptops, cameras, wi-fi routers, and “swag items.”
Critics, for lack of a better term, dragged the State Department over the grant promoting drag performances in Ecuador.
“Yikes. Good to see priorities are in check,” wrote one Twitter user.

Others noted the prevalence of such shows here in America under the Biden administration.
“This is the thing I think about most with all of these videos coming out from bars and schools,” writes Stephen Miller, editor of The Spectator. “I don’t really care about what bars do but this is just weird how this became like, a thing.”
Was there always just like “Hire a Drag Queen” services for events and schools? Like you just call up a firm and book them like the clown services for birthday parties? https://t.co/ci7d98ZeRw

“If this is true I guess I can stop wondering why this is allowed to go on in this country in front of children,” another social media user observed. “We’re below the basement, people.”

Stupid Wokeness at the Biden State Department
This isn’t the first time Biden’s State Department has put a spotlight on, to borrow a phrase from Democrat strategist James Carville, “stupid wokeness.”
You would think President Biden had enough problems to focus on other than diversity and inclusion in Ecuador – like say, the gas crisis, raging inflation, the border invasion, or the threat of nuclear war.
Last October, the State Department celebrated issuing the first US passport with an “X” gender designation.
Exactly one year ago today, they marked ‘International Pronouns Day’ with a tweet explaining why people share their pronouns on social media.
Today on International Pronouns Day, we share why many people list pronouns on their email and social media profiles. Read more here on @ShareAmerica: https://t.co/gWhoItvGvo.

The informational post explained that “sharing pronouns (is) a way of getting to know someone” and “avoids accidentally assuming an incorrect gender.”
Those are your State Department priorities under the current administration – sharing pronouns and funding drag shows in foreign countries.
