Biden to Make His First Presidential Visit to Canada

OTTAWA, Canada— This eve, First Lady Jill and President Joe Biden will appear in Ottawa as part of a two-day official visit to the nation’s capital. During his first trip to the United States’ principal ally, Biden will meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and speak before the French Parliament on Friday.

Biden and Trudeau are anticipated to talk about a range of topics, such as energy transition, offer bars, China, climate change, and defence cooperation.

On March 22, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told writers,” We’re going to hear about our two governments stepping up to meet the challenges of our time.” ” That includes taking specific actions to boost defence spending, propel a global competition to the top in clean energy, and create rich, diverse economies.”

Both officials are anticipated to have a joint news conference on Friday following the diplomatic conferences and the speech to the Parliament. The Canadian Aviation and Space Museum will host a dinner dinner for the chair and first lady that night.

Biden’s visit coincides with reports that China has been attempting to meddle in American elections, including claims that at least 11 applicants in the 2019 poll were funded by Beijing, according to that information that have been leaked in Canada.
