Biden Will Not Visit East Palestine Following Train Catastrophe
President Joe Biden According to reporters, he said Friday that he does not plan on visiting East Palestine because of the toxic train crash in which the community was involved earlier this month.
Overheated wheel bearings on the 23rd of the 149 railroad cars caused the train’s derailment in small Ohio town. Officials evacuated all residents within a mile of the accident site and started A controlled burning of the vinyl chloride the train was carrying to stop a huge explosive from happening.
Vinyl chloride is a well-known human carcinogen that was used to make PVC. Five train cars produced massive plumes black smoke visible in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Biden answered reporters’ questions about whether he planned to visit East Palestine. “no,” He then defended his administration’s response.
