Biden’s dog sent Secret Service agent to hospital after biting incidents went unreported.
The Troubled Tale of Commander, the Biden Family Dog
The Biden family dog, Commander, made headlines when he moved into the White House in late 2021. However, what many people didn’t know was that Commander had a biting incidents went unreported.”>previously unreported biting streak.
According to Secret Service communications reviewed by the New York Post, Commander, a two-year-old German Shepard, bit seven people in just four months. One Secret Service agent even had to be sent to the hospital for treatment after being bitten on the arm and thigh.
Commander’s aggressive behavior started after he was sent to live with family friends in 2021 due to his violent actions in the White House.
Interestingly, it was later revealed that Commander’s predecessor, Major, had also been involved in biting incidents that were downplayed by the White House. In fact, during one stretch in March 2021, Major bit agents for eight consecutive days, while only one incident was publicly acknowledged.
Agents reported that Major’s attacks began just one month into the Biden presidency, with emails showing instances of being “nipped/brushed up and nudged” by the dog in February 2021.
Despite these troubling incidents, the White House has remained silent on the lack of transparency surrounding Commander’s violent behavior.
In fact, according to the New York Post, agents emailed each other expressing their frustration, stating that if the dog didn’t belong to the Biden family, it would have been “put down.”
One agent, who was attacked and placed on restricted duty for three days, shared their experience with a colleague, saying, ”My leg and arm still hurts. He bit me twice and ran at me twice.”
The colleague responded, “What a joke… if it wasn’t their dog he would already have been put down – freaking clown needs a muzzle.”
