Biden’s New Press Secretary Is A ‘Stolen Election’ Conspiracy Theorist Who Called Trump An ‘Illegitimate President’
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is hopping over to MSNBC where she’ll continue to run interference for President Joe Biden, so Karine Jean-Pierre will soon be filling her role as the executive spokeswoman. Although Jean-Pierre officially holds the title of principal deputy press secretary at the moment, a look through her old tweets shows that she is an election-denying, misinformation-peddling, conspiracy theorist.
After Donald Trump won the 2016 election, despite the best efforts of the Russia collusion-peddling corporate media, Jean-Pierre claimed the election was “stolen.”
“Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election …..welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump,” Jean-Pierre tweeted.
She later strung together Hillary Clinton talking points to refer to him as “illegitimate,” writing, “Trump always finds a way to take it to the lowest of lows. Not only is he petulant dotard but also a deplorable illegitimate president.”
It wasn’t just general anti-Trump bitterness, however. Jean-Pierre has a habit of undermining election legitimacy. After Stacey Abrams lost the Georgia gubernatorial election in 2018 and refused to concede to the legitimately elected winner, Brian Kemp, Jean-Pierre came to the defense of a delusional Abrams, writing that “the race was stolen.”
As recently as April 2020, well into Kemp’s tenure as governor, the incoming White House press secretary was still spreading conspiracy theories about the election.
“Reminder: Brian Kemp stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams,” Jean-Pierre wrote.
These are just a sampling of tweets, so maybe they don’t matter — except Democrats have assured us that they do.
After Biden prevailed in the 2020 election, Democrats said any claims of it being “stolen” or even questions about election integrity amounted to misinformation, conspiracy theories, a threat to our democracy, and even an insurrection. Posts about it have been spiked as “misinformation” by Facebook and Twitter, with YouTube taking down videos that talk about election integrity issues.
This is despite the fact that the election was rife with problems and malfeasance, including election laws being ignored or changed last minute, plus mass mail-in balloting and trafficking that lacked any legitimate oversight.
This is to say nothing of Big Tech running cover for the Biden family by censoring bombshell stories about their corruption, which voters admit might have changed their minds in casting a vote for the now-president. Or of media propagandists refusing to cover real news while spinning up fake scandals about Trump and neglecting to cover his administration’s massive victories. Or of tech oligarchs like Mark Zuckerberg dumping hundreds of millions of dollars into the election to staff government elections offices with Democrat operatives and running get-out-the-vote efforts in blue hubs.
The people who raise alarm bells about these glaring issues have spent the last year and a half being censored and smeared, with some of them being investigated by the FBI and branded as “insurrectionists” for being present in Washington, D.C., and daring to peacefully voice their concerns outside the Capitol.
Yet within Biden’s own inner circle is a conspiracy theorist who spreads misinformation about our elections and undermines our political process of self-government — and she just got a promotion.
