Bill Clinton briefly mistaken for Biden during McDonald’s visit: ‘Are you Joe?’

Former President Bill Clinton was mistaken for President Joe Biden during a visit he made to a Georgia McDonald’s.

Clinton was on the campaign trail to support Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential bid when he took a break to visit the Golden Arches. Once inside, one of the restaurant employees at the counter stared at Clinton for a few seconds before asking, “Are you Joe?”

Another employee could then be heard saying “Bill Clinton,” prompting the former employee to quickly run around the counter and hug the former president. Several other employees also took the moment to take some pictures of him.

The former president’s love for McDonald’s has been well-known for decades, with Clinton joking about it during his speech at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year.

Clinton is not the only former president hitting the campaign trail to stump for Harris, as Barack Obama has also been attempting to drum up support for the vice president. The 44th president has lamented the lack of enthusiasm from black men in support of Harris, calling it “not acceptable,” a comment former President Donald Trump quipped about on Truth Social.

With just over three weeks left before the 2024 election, the most recent polling data have found Trump and Harris tied at 48% with a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points. Polling data from last month showed Harris leading Trump by 5%.
