Blumenthal Breaks Leg at UConn Parade, to Undergo Surgery
Sen. WASHINGTON Richard Blumenthal( D-Conn. ) stated that he anticipates having surgery to fix a broken leg that was sustained on Saturday while the University of Connecticut men’s’s basketball team was celebrating its victory.
Blumenthal claimed in a tweet on Saturday night that while the rally was taking place in Hartford, Connecticut, to observe the team’s’s victory in the NCAA basketball championship on April 4 in Houston, another paradegoer tripped and fell on him.
The 77-year-old Democrat stated that he was awaiting” program surgery” on his knee, which is scheduled for Sunday, and anticipates a full recovery.
