George Santos gives Boebert’s fundraising in Colorado district a much-needed boost
Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado faced a significant drop in fundraising, collecting less than half a million in Q1 2024, her lowest in four years. Despite switching to run in Ken Buck’s 4th Congressional District, she continues to impact Colorado politics. George Santos, ousted NY Rep., contributed $400 despite his struggling campaign. Santos failed to qualify for the GOP primary. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado experienced a notable decline in fundraising, raising less than half a million in Q1 2024, marking her lowest collection in four years. Despite transitioning to Ken Buck’s 4th Congressional District, she remains influential in Colorado politics. George Santos, a former NY Rep., donated $400 despite his campaign challenges and failure to qualify for the GOP primary.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) raised less than half a million in the first quarter of 2024, her worst fundraising haul in nearly four years.
The Colorado Republican is running in former Rep. Ken Buck‘s 4th Congressional District after switching seats late last year.

Yet, Boebert, who represents her state’s 3rd District, only raised roughly $462,403 in the first three months of 2024 and has $979,799 cash on hand, according to a Federal Election Commission filing report.
The amount raised is far below the $540,000 she hauled in the last three months of 2023.
Notably, ousted New York Rep. George Santos donated $400 to Boebert despite his own lagging campaign.
Santos raised $0 for his comeback campaign committee against New York Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY), an embarrassing sum for the disgraced former congressman. He also did not report spending any money, calling into doubt the sincerity of his campaign.
Santos did not qualify for the GOP primary in June but said he’s running as an independent.
Earlier this month, Boebert secured the top spot for the GOP primary to succeed Buck, receiving 41% support from the 527 delegates.
Honored to have won the support and trust of CD4 Delegates as the ONLY Republican to qualify through the Assembly process today!

The Colorado congresswoman’s campaign was buoyed by the fact that former Parker, Colorado, Mayor Greg Lopez, who is likely to serve the remainder of Buck’s seat if he wins the June 25 special election, will step down in January 2025 so that the general election winner can replace Buck.
Boebert was unable to run for the special election since that would have required her to step down from office.
Boebert’s primary rivals slammed the congresswoman over her behavior during the New York Young Republican Club’s annual gala in Manhattan in December.
She was allegedly drunk and reprimanded by former President Donald Trump’s security detail after she kept attempting to take a selfie with Trump, who headlined the gala. Trump gave Boebert his endorsement last month, a sign that he was not put off by the gala incident.

In September, Boebert was ejected from a Beetlejuice musical performance in Denver after she was caught engaging in inappropriate behavior with a male companion. She later apologized for the behavior.
Boebert narrowly won her 2022 reelection bid by less than 600 votes and would have faced a tougher campaign if she had run again in the 3rd District.
