Bondi promises to fire those who withheld Epstein files – Washington Examiner
Attorney General Pam bondi is intensifying her efforts to obtain further documents related to Jeffrey Epstein from the FBI, asserting that those responsible for withholding information will be terminated. This follows the Department of Justice’s recent release of about 120 pages of already known details about Epstein’s associates. Bondi highlighted that sources indicated the New York Southern District has thousands of undisclosed documents about Epstein, which she is determined to acquire.
She expressed her intention to publish the identities of all individuals involved once the documents are retrieved, even though she refrained from speculating why they were not previously disclosed or if other associates were trying to protect their identities. Bondi emphasized her commitment to transparency and accountability, noting that any officials who obstruct access to this information will face consequences.
The FBI, under new director Kash Patel, has also pledged to maintain transparency regarding Epstein’s case, which includes ongoing investigations tied to allegations of sex trafficking involving numerous victims. bondi’s push for full disclosure is receiving bipartisan support, furthering the call for accountability in the Epstein case.
Bondi promises to fire those withholding Epstein files: ‘Will get everything’
Attorney General Pam Bondi continued her effort to press the FBI for further documents surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, promising those who have withheld them will “not be working for us anymore.”
Earlier this week, the Department of Justice, along with the FBI, released roughly 120 pages of declassified pages detailing Epstein’s associates that were already known years earlier via previous disclosures. Epstein died in prison following an indictment against him, which included sex trafficking allegations that affected some 254 victims.
“I found out this week that a source told me New York SDNY, they’re sitting on thousands of pages of documents regarding Epstein. Thousands, thousands,” Bondi said on Fox Business’s Life, Liberty, and Levin Saturday. “We will get everything. We will have it in our possession.”
This revelation came after Bondi requested the FBI deliver more documents by 8 a.m. EST on Feb. 28. Bondi would not speculate a reason for why the documents were withheld or whether there are more associates of Epstein’s that are trying to protect their identities from being revealed. However, she insisted that she plans to publicize all perpetrators once she obtains more documents.
“I have not reviewed the information yet. As a lawyer, as a prosecutor, I want to review everything before I make a firm conclusion. But I think it’s very interesting that they held that from us. And I will find out who withheld, and they will not be working for us anymore,” Bondi said.
BONDI SAYS BIDEN’S WEAPONIZED DOJ IS UNDER REVIEW: ‘IT ENDS’
While the FBI affirmed that there remain undisclosed documents regarding Epstein, its new Director Kash Patel has committed, just as Bondi, to transparency on the matter. Its been a little over two weeks since Patel was sworn in.
Every Republican senator nominated Bondi to her post, with assistance from a lone Democratic vote, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). President Donald Trump’s original choice for attorney general was former Rep. Matt Gaetz, who bowed out long before Trump was inaugurated.
