Attorney General Pam Bondi assured that the era of weaponizing the Department of Justice “ends today.”

CRUZ SAYS LAWSUITS TO STOP TRUMP AND DOGE ‘AREN’T GOING TO WORK’

“Well, short-term goals, on Day One, shortly after I was sworn in, I walked over and signed 14 executive orders basically saying we are returning the Department of Justice to its core function: fighting violent crime. And the weaponization ends, it ends today,” Bondi said. “There are prosecutors in that office who signed want to raid Mar-a-Lago and to go after Donald Trump. It’s ended. Not going to happen, not going to happen anymore. And also just fighting violent crime, and that’s what we have been trying to do, and we’re going to continue to do it.”

The attorney general is heading the Weaponization Working Group, which will work to uncover and put an end to politicized justice. It will examine all the agencies beneath the DOJ, including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Govs. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) and Kathy Hochul (D-NY) have already proven to be opposition to Bondi’s effort to fight crime in protecting the illegal immigrants in their respective states. Bondi has issued lawsuits to compel the governors to follow federal law.

Every Republican senator nominated Bondi to her post, with assistance from the lone Democratic vote, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). President Donald Trump’s original choice for attorney general was former Rep. Matt Gaetz, who bowed out long before Trump was inaugurated.
